If you really want Wiggins it's not a bad trade

That being said, as a Pistons fan I don't want Rudy Gay period

Talent wise, easy yes from the Pistons.

Contract wise, pretty fair considering Gay is overpaid and this frees up Toronto to rebuild.

The problem is that the real NBA is not a fantasy league. Sure this trade would make the Pistons much deeper, but at some point, you need inexpensive role players to fill the roster. Will Johnson and Gay be happy coming off the bench? And how many minutes would they actually get?

Like someone already mentioned, getting Gay before the Smith signing made a lot of sense. Not so much now.

Everyone here seems to think Toronto is in tank mode which is completely wrong. I think they are similar to Detroit and will push hard for the playoffs this year. They are not looking to dump any salary unless they have a major injury.

East got better at the bottom, Toronto didn't make any improvements so unless Detroit, Milwaukee, Cleveland and Washington all get bombarded with injuries it's not happening.

This going down depends on what weapon you use in the robbery. A high-powered assault riffle may do the job however.
