Re: Rotation
I don't see Datome penciled into many rotations. is it because he's hurt, or are people not expecting much out of him this year?

It's because he's both an unknown (for NBA fans - he's very know by Euro BB fans), and because he's hurt. Unless both Singler and JJ have serious breakthroughs with their long-range shooting, the Pistons will have a huge need for a shooter like Datome off the bench, so he'll work himself into the rotation. That's why Harrellson might also have his moments.
Datome and Billups are likely our two best stretch the floor shooters, although KCP could come-on fast in that regard. Our best shooters will find their way onto the court this season, because our big men are so dominant, and that means that our outside shooters will have a lot more room.
The Pistons are just taking care of Datome's hamstring right now, and likely understand that he's a guy who played a ton of BB without much rest before he came over this fall. By mid-season, he'll be entrenched in our rotation. I'm convinced this guy has what it takes to be one of the league's better 3-pt specialists. (length, great shot, high and quick release). Plus, he is very skilled at creating space on mid-range jumpers. We're going to like him, a lot.

If he's healthy, Datome should play. We need all the shooting we can get, and that's one thing he can no doubt do.
