Oladipo winng ROY is dependant on AA being traded. I would expect a draft class in which the #1 pick was huge surprise to be wide open. Hes on fantasy team so yeah Ill be following him.

In other news about a point guard high on my draft list:

"Bucks rookie Nate Wolters has committed just four turnovers in the first four games and has 26 assists.

The assist total is the most by a Bucks rookie in his first four games since T.J. Ford had 25 assists in the same stretch during the 2003-'04 season. "He's very poised," Mayo said of Wolters. "I think we all saw that from Day 1."

You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.

Oladipo hasn't been nearly impressive as Carter-Williams. Rookie of the year race is Carter-Williams to lose. Yet another monster game last night- 21 points/13 assists/7 boards/2 steals/2 blocks on 53% FG, and 3 of 3 from deep in a DOT game vs the Cavs.

The only thing Dipo has on MCW is predraft hype.

MCW:
19 points/8 assists/6 boards/3 steals in 37 minutes on 41% FG, 42% from 3, 20 PER.

Oladipo:
11 points/3 assists/4boards/1.5 steals in 25 minutes on 40% FG, and 33% from 3, 11 PER

Though I wasn't high on MCW he looks great. We know this because at a position of need, PG, the sixers are giving him tons of minutes. Meanwhile, at our position of need, SG, we refuse to play our rookie because...our coach doesn't like rookies...I guess. How do we know KCP isn't capable of helping? And furthermore, you know without a doubt if we had MCW he wouldn't be playing and we'd never know he's capable of what he's been doing do far this season. I'd understand if we were loaded at SG, but we're not, so KCP rotting on the bench is terrible.

Oladipo? Please. If the All Star game was held today, MCW would be starting.

Seriously. The whole city of Philly would vote him in like he was the next AI.

Dipo ain't winning ROY, there's no way. MCW has been decently consistent so far while playing the full starter minutes. Dipo isn't.

Before the season started I would have likely agreed with you but he's looked pretty bad so far, horrible shooting and 4 turnovers a game in 25 minutes. MCW might be hitting his 3s but he's still not scoring efficiently either.

What are you "........." Your posting has gotten pretty bad around here. All you do is reply to others with this unecessary (and unearned) sense of "elitism." It would be one thing if you had this immaculate understanding of the game of basketball, but you don't. As a result, it just comes off as petty.

I personally enjoy Clarity's posts/style of posting.

I guess it comes down to how you interpret it.

I interpreted his post above to as "MCW is getting huge hype but it's really too soon to tell and talking about him starting in the ASG is just silly"

maybe my interpretation is wrong but I thought Clarity just didn't want to state the obvious.

Re: MCW - kid is doing well, I'm happy for him as he was on my very short list prior to the draft but... the season has just begun. People need to calm down a lot and just see how things go

At first glance this sounds hard to believe, but MCW really has been one of the top guards in the Eastern Conference so far. He's arguably been the best PG in the East thus far. Kyrie will eventually pick it up and get back to his amazing efficiency, but for now MCW has done extremely well relative to other guards in the East.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/stats/bypos ... eason_2013

If it started today, Wade and one of Rose/Kyrie would start because it's a popularity contest, but MCW is definitely in the conversation for deserving to be a starter. Dwill has sucked. Derrick Rose has sucked. Its really not an outlandish statement.

You telling me I dont have an understanding of the game after posting that nonsense is rich.

However I wont give you a fabricated insult in return because I actually liked your comparisons a few wks back of our team right now to the Grizz, a more athletic Grizz.
