Nope. Tony Mitchell has star potential. Athleticism and a jumpshot. He's just stuck behind Jerebko and a "veteran coach" that would rather Play 4 point guards in front of a real SG because KCP is a rookie. KCP has just as much potential if not more than Shumpert

?

I would do that trade in a second. Mitchell has a lot of potential but that's it. We have no idea whether our 2nd round pick will amount to anything at all. Shump is an excellent defender and can hit the 3. He is everything we need and would be a HUGE upgrade over Singler. It would be awesome having primarily a Shump/Smith/Monroe second unit front court. We are in win now mode so I'm all for trading our prospects for proven talent, even KCP if the right deal came along.

I'd never trade a potential star for a role player. Id just wait until he reaches his potential first, that way you deal with full Value. That's just me I guess.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Good lord, you gotta be kidding me, vic.

Star potential? What star potential has Mitchell EVER shown? I like the guy, he was great value for a 2nd round pick, but for Shumpert? A young, mostly proven starting quality 2 that can definitely shoot and is EXACTLY what this team needs?

I want KCP to play, but it's clear it isn't going to happen really soon. At least this way we'd have a non-Stuckey, non-Billups starting 2 guard.

Watching the clippers and how great redick has been for them, hitting his 3s and hitting big shots,I really wish we could have picked him up or traded for him.He would be great for this team at sg.

john jenkins fell out of the hawks rotation this season. he can shoot the 3 and would be a very good pickup. singler, mitchell + a second rounder should get it done

I'll pass on Jenkins, I would rather just play CV.

Can someone explain/remind me why we got rid of Aaron Afflalo all those years ago?

Can you imagine how freaking athletic we'd be with Drummond, Smith, Shumpert and Jennings on the court at the same time?!?!?!
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.
