Didnt see it posted. Sorry to interrupt the brilliant trade & "Drummond has hurt more than he has helped" threads.

Detroit has four new starters (three are new to team, one is a rookie) and a new coaching staff and thus new system. Played without Jennings most of training camp and pre-season games. Smith is being asked to play out of position, or at least a different position than he has played the last 4-5 years, Monroe is playing a relatively new position as full time PF now. We're a definite work in progress here and should have a steep improvement curve over this season. I mean we're playing teams who largely returned their whole rosters and coaching staffs, starters who have played together for years under the same system. Yet we're what 8-10, hung tough against Memphis and Indiana, and beat Miami so far this year. We also don't have any bench depth after Stuckey this season - CV, Bynum, Jerebko, Harrellson, Datome are scrubs, Billups is all but finished (and currently injured) and Singler is more a 8th-9th man at best. Our rookie second rounders are projects.
