If that's what they are concerned with, then I don't want them anyways. I want players who want to win not players who are concerned where the party is at haha.

Unfortunately, these guys care more about the lifestyle than the game itself.

And that might be true for a lot of guys but not everyone. I'm sure we could pick up someone good regardless if it's the draft, FA or trade.

I don't think with Joe D as our GM that FA is the best way to bring guys in right now.

not necessarily, just know that we don't have to go "all-in", instead just focusing on developing our core

We obviously have some pressing issues we need to concern, but for now I'm really happy with where we are right now. I think we've gotten better as the season as progressed. We've beaten the Heat and Pacers, the two best Eastern conference teams, AT HOME. That's crazy. We could have beaten the Blazers as well if we had just grabbed an offensive rebound.

A lot of people(general board) said that we were locked in to be a mediocre team after signing Jennings/Smith. 26 games in, It's pretty clear that this team has A LOT of potential. When we play at our best, we're elite. Unfortunately it hasn't all clicked yet, but this team has been so much fun to watch thus far.

We don't have to make lame t-shirts that say "Please don't go" because at the end of the day, Detroit "small market" or not, is a top 5 franchise all time. In fact, when we start winning 50+ games on a consistent basis, good players will want to play for the Pistons. I'm not worried at all!
Detroit isnt a small market, so thats not an issue. The Detroit Pistons are a large market team.

The issue here has always been the crap weather.

Were definitely a small market. We don't get the media deals and things like you would see in a big market like LA,NY or even Miami. We've been arguably the best small market franchise along with the Spurs. We have a big sports town but it's definitely not a big market. Teams like the Lakers don't give a crap about luxury tax because their tv deals can literally pay for it.
Incorrect. We are absolutely considered a big market team, because we are. We are anywhere between the 9th, and 6th largest market NBA team, depending on population, tv deals, e.t.c.

Make zero mistake, we are a large market team. There are a ton of factors that decide this, and we absolutely are. A lot of Detroit's population left to the metro area, which is taken into account. Its a damn big market. Our national air time has zero to do with the size of the market, but marketability. Two completely different things.

As a matter of fact, here are the largest just TV markets in the United States;

http://www.stationindex.com/tv/tv-markets

Top ten in the COUNTRY;

1 New York
2 Los Angeles
3 Chicago
4 Philadelphia
5 Dallas-Ft. Worth
6 San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose
7 Boston
8 Atlanta
9 Washington, DC
10 Houston
11 Detroit

We are a HUGE market, make no mistake.

You also left out the weak state of the downtown area. Players can't party it up downtown like they can in other cities.

Say what?

Downtown Detroit doesn't compare to other downtowns.
