I agree, but Dre has been getting a little love around the league, and the NBA likes to showcase its young talent, so he may get in by default. there really isn't that many healthy, good, established bigs in the East this year.

SF's count as bigs in the all-star game now, the east actually has 3 of them starting in LeBron, George and Melo.

I thought it was just bigs, wings and point guards now. I knew it was just PFs and Cs, but they're lumping SFs in too?

Yup, frontcourt/backcourt. The league is turning into SF's playing PF while Dumars is trying to turn a PF into a SF and a C into a PF

the leagues also had a dearth of big men over the last decade or so, which I think has contributed to that, along with the rule changes. that's a chicken or egg imo.

but yeah, if SF, PF and C are all lumped together, Dres chances are pretty slim.

They need to put the center spot back in the all star game.

Too many bums ended up in the game by doing that, maybe in a couple years when some of these talented youngsters improve.

Drummond is the best center in the East. He's first in the entire NBA in offensive rebounds, second in double-doubles, third in total rebounds, third in field goal percentage, third in dunks, fifth in production per 48 minutes and seventh in blocks per game.

He deserves it.

Drummond might have the best PER for guys that aren't injured but right now he's not the top center in the east. Horford, Noah, Lopez, Hibbert, Bosh(if you count him) are all better, Hawes is probably on the same level with Drummond at this point.

Almost forgot, Monroe is still the better center right now.

I don't buy that **** that he's lost athleticism since last year or even college. He was heavier last year (297). He replaced fat with muscle.

He does seem like he's lost athleticism compared to last year. I notice it when a guy throws a hook shot up over him. Last year he would swat those across the court. Maybe he does need to drop some weight or something.

Nah. I notice he hasn't lost anything when a guy throws a hook shot and he comes help side and catches that ****. Theres maybe 3 guys in the league that can do that including him. Its way harder to catch a shot than to swat it.

This is not about "who may or may not be the best center in the East when healthy/for their careers."

This is about who is the best center in the East this year. And that's Andre.

He doesn't get off the floor as high as he did in college, that's all I'm saying. Nobody knows how much these guys actually weigh, I can look at Drummond and tell he's bigger than last year.

Never saw him do this in college or last year. Definitely gets off the floor as high. Show me any clip in college and ill post one just as impressive from the NBA.

Nobodies knocking him man, relax. He didn't do much of anything in college so those vids don't exist.
