Re: I don't think Cleveland will pass us
Thanks for illustrating the obvious hate. Kyrie is shooting 43%. Of the other top perimeter scorers, Curry is at 45%, harden is 45%, DeRozan is 43%, Lillard is 42%,Thomas is 44%, afflac 47%, Dragic 50%, Wall 42%. It's a "bad" year for him and he has previously been at 47% and 45%.
He needs to take better care of the ball, but his A/TO ratio is 2.34. Of those big scorers, Curry is at 2.18, Harden is 1.47, Lillard is 2.48, dragic 2.16, Wall 2.43.
Kyrie obviously has a lot of work to do, but he's an insane talent. He's just on a completely disfunctional team. For his sake, I hope he gets moved soon to a team with some vets and a coach that will actually develop him.

I would love Deng here. He would be perfect for this team. I would trade Smith or Monroe for him plus filler.

Per ESPN profile .427 fg%, not .43. Harden and Derozen are SG, I am not discouraged by Kyrie's perimeter scoring as much as his all around game as a max level PG, so I will compare him to PG's. He is NOT a perimeter scorerer.
I have no idea who "Afflac" is (the insurance duck plays ball?) , but I'll assume it's Afflalo, and he too is a scoring wing, not a PG.
Kyrie is .358 for this season from the 3 (below league average). Curry is .407, Dragic is .391, Thomas is .376, Wall is worse at .32 (Was he ever considered a perimeter shooter?), and Damian Lillard is .411.
Almost every PG you named shoots better from the 3. Kyrie is below league average there. But it has nothing to do with Kyrie hate, I don't know why you brought up perimeter scoring in the first place. And I did mention previously that it is a bad year for him, AND that he will get better (i wrote more than one post....). I just don't feel he would be a good fit on this team. I hope he gets away from the chaos in Cleveland as well and gets on a respectable squad that can help him develop into the star he could be. I don't think we are that place, and while he is maturing I don't want his nasty attitude affecting Greg and Andre. That's my biggest issue.
I never said he shouldn't be in the league. Kid's got some nasty crossovers. I said his body language is terrible and he has a bad attitude, he needs to be in a place that will show some discipline, and get him out of that. Ask a Cavs fan, they all have the same complaint. A coach like Vogel, or Thibs is what he needs, in a better structured environment. Look at Andray Blatche with the Wiz, then look at Blatche with the Nets. Once he wasn't in a place where he wasn't allowed to get away with actin' out, he stopped.
Side note, I would LOVE to swap Smith with Deng.

Absolutely. They need the "swiss army knife" affect more than our squad does. They don't have to worry about him overshooting, as they have multiple decent shooters on the floor at all times. We don't have shooters like that, which gives him free reign to toss up soul crushers.
Deng is a veteran, coming from a disciplined and experienced team. He is consistent, and can shoot and defend from the wing, which is what we need oh so badly. I'd make that swap in a heart beat, even if this is the last year on his deal. Plus he is a good teammate, up beat kinda guy. Fits with the team well.

I'd love Deng for Smith, hell I'd even throw in some type of sweetener.

Deng would be perfect for this team, but Cleveland have no incentive to trade him now.

Well, he already basically spilled the beans on how screwed up the team is, with his buddy droppin' notes to reporters. I'm sure the bowties aren't happy about that.

True, but he was brought in to help clean up the mess as a vet leader.
It would just seem crazy to trade him for Smith when you have a crazy locker room. But the cavs are pretty crazy

I can imagine that front office convo right now,
"Look, Deng made it clear our crew is creepin' him out. Let's swap him for Josh Smith. Deng is a free agent this summer and he is gonna run. But Smith can't run for 3 more years AFTER this season. Plus it opens up the 3 spot for Lebron to drop his lawnchair on because he is OBVIOUSLY coming back. Win-Win-Win deal. Amirite? Draft picks? Oh God no, I found some Youtube highlights of this Tibetan monk who can levitate up to 10 feet during meditation. It's not a travel call if your feet aren't on the ground, right? I'm using my 2014 lottery pick on him."

haha Poor cleveland fans.
When they realize Lebron isn't coming and Deng and Irving are leaving ASAP they're going to be destroyed.
At least they'll still have Bennett.

Sure hoping this doesnt' happen in Orlando. See what prolonged losing does to a franchise. This team really needs to turn itself around quick before players get so sick of losing that they turn on the Coaches and staff. That could even spell doom for Henny.

Orlando has pretty solid management, in my opinion. I think they're gonna be reallll good in a year or two.
