Josh Smith is the better overall player, better fits the style that this team is better playing at, and is a better compliment to Drummond. Monroe also has more value on the market right now. It's been on the wall since July, trade Monroe and put together a halfway decent roster....

How does he really fit better? How is he a better compliment?

Good a#s win Pistons! I was impressed with Cheeks rotations tonight. He played Smith, Monroe, and Drummond in a 4/5 rotation for must of the game. I envisioned that was our idea when we singed Smith this summer. Monroe's going to have to improve his defense if he wants to stay with the Pistons. He allows too many easy buckets in the paint.

And when Josh has another 5-20 game we can all be reminded why Josh Smith shouldn't be on this team.

You will be reminded that he shouldn't be the #1 option and that's it.

I'll be remind he's not a #1 option but he sure as hell thinks he is (or at the very least a #2). His issues with taking too many shots has gone on for 4 years now. What's suddenly going to change?

Nothing. Smith had a hot stretch in December where everyone thought he was suddenly going to turn the corner yet a few games later he was back to his usual chucking self.

I wish Josh would play at a higher level, I see how good we can be when all of Smith/Monroe/Drummond are playing well but I'm not holding my breathe.

The sample size of is incredibly small, but there's something happening here with the significantly shortened rotation, beginning with the reduction of KCP's minutes and Bynum's DNP's.

Remove as many inefficient players from the court as possible. Also, Detroit seems to have given up on hedging P&R plays for the most part. They'll just hang back a bit. Seems like the lesser of all the evils the bigs have attempted defensively this season.

Somebody has to take shots in non-ideal situations, that's what him and Jennings do so they seem less efficient to guys like you.

Yeah there's never fast break bricks from Jennings or 21 footers from Josh with 12 seconds left on the shot clock to look for a more "ideal situation". They're non ideal because those 2 tomato cans create those situations.
