I seriously hate Raptors fans sometimes. They got a thread talking about how there team can be the next 04 Pistons team. They are basically telling me right now that Val and Amir can be the next Ben and Rasheed. Saying Amir is closer to Ben than JVAL is to Rasheed. They are a delusional fan base.

How many times does a guy have to be reported before he gets dealt with?....unbelievable.

Here's what one Raptor fan had to say on the subject

Why can't Amir become defensive anchor like Wallace? Ben was undersized big, and didn't make a wrinkle in the league until he was 27. Amir is only 26, and is already one of the better defensive bigs in the league.

I think you are caught up in big rebounding/blocks stats. Defense is much more than that especially in todays league. Your bigs have to be able to hedge out on the perimeter and must be quick enough recover in the paint. With so much help defense required it is all about defensive awareness.

Just give us another season, I know we'll beat your team. We're a good coach/good SG away from being a good team.

@Mr.BigShot: Let him have fun, it's a sports forum. :D

What that I said didnt make sense?

Josh is having a playing the lottery type of shooting night, he cant throw it in the ocean most nights, tonight he cant miss.

Completely factual, the person who said "if only Josh played like this every night" was off. Tonight isnt one of those cases.

I agree that he was just in a zone tonight, which is why you saying he should play that way every night makes no sense, because thats essentially saying if only he got in that zone every game... and everyone knows no player gets in a zone like that every game.

Now that I think I've made my point clear, I'm not going around in circles on this topic anymore arguing semantics.

Your inability to read right now is flabbergasting to me.

Just so everyone else who can actually read understands I didnt say he should play like he played tonight every night. That was actually Mr Big Shot as he & I actually discussed on this page, in plain sight, for everyone to see. lol

This was just a super hot night for Josh, he still took too many jumpers like normal, they just all went in tonight which rarely happens. If he had had one of his once every blue moon games where he actually played solely in the post & dominated then saying "if only he could play like this all the time" would apply.

I didn't get to watch the game, were Smith and Dirk matched up on both ends most of the game? I'm assuming Josh played a lot of PF with Drummond being in foul trouble.

So what are you saying, if he just attacked the basket more every night he could be 14-17 FG and have 32 pts through 3 quarters every game? lol That's ridiculous, and that was my point. No matter how much he attacks the basket, he's not going to produce like that consistently. He was in a zone and everything was going in. It happens to every player once in a while, but you can't expect any player to do it every night is all I was saying. So that's why I don't get the "if only he played this way every night" talk. Because he could play the same attacking style next game and go 2-14, and then no one would be saying if only he played that way every night lol

Stopped reading after your first sentence and I retract my previous comment, you CAN be that dense. Nobody's putting #'s on what he'd put up if he played a more efficient game. But that the RESULTS would be better, whatever the point/rebound/etc total would be. I'm fully aware that this didn't need to be explained to you and that you're playing dumb. Hopefully anyway.

I stopped reading when I saw "DetroitSho" lol I don't think you are playing dumb though, you are just dumb. The fact that you are still arguing about a debate between other posters that had nothing to do with you, while everyone else has moved on says it all.

Cool story Sparky

The troll will be dealt with accordingly, thanks guys

Also, the argument among actual Piston posters above me needs to cool it.
