I don't know if Joe D will be gone for sure, but I think Smith will be on his way out in the offseason.

It sounds like we are committed to Greg Monroe, rightly so, and once its seen that this experiment does not work (which you can already see), Smith will continue to be shopped.

Honestly, I feel like if we can just replace Smooth with a real SF that can spread the floor for our twin towers and play defense then we will improve. I'm starting to sour on Jennings as well.

The Pistons have never been in a "rebuild" mode under Dumars. I'm fairly positive he doesn't even believe in the philosophy. Detroit went from having a fairly strong core of young guys with low risk contracts, big ones off the books, draft picks in hand... to just gambling for a shot into the playoffs.

this! QFT...the Pistons never did a rebuild, Dumars tried to rebuild on the fly and failed miserably TWICE, handing out terrible contracts to terrible basketball players.
