As much as I love the bad boyz, it's time to disconnect from that whole group. Isiah was a great player, horrible GM. I don't want him. Also, why do people want Laimbeer so much? He hasn't proven anything as a coach at the NBA level. I'm not saying he can't be a good coach but I rather have the sure thing than go with a guy who is new to NBA head coaching.

The only thing I know for sure, Dumars cannot hire another coach. No one reputable will come here as long as he's running the show.Which is why Gore has to let him go if for no other reason, and there are plenty of reasons. I wouldn't put it past Gore to hire Isiah as GM he seems outa touch at times.

Tourist here from the Knicks forum and I really hope for the sake of the Detroit Pistons you do not go downthis route of bringing in Isiah. I know he is a legendary player for u guys but it cannot be written in words how bad of a job he did for the Knicks.
Watching ESPN today and listening to the talking heads speak highly of Isiah and encourage this hire is INSANE. FRANK ISOLA was on Around the Horn pushing for it? THIS IS INSANITY.
Isiah has absolutely no idea how the salary cap works or how to structure contracts. He has no idea what is neccessarry to put together a winning team and he has ZERO idea how to come up with trades that make sense in the long term. He completely fleeced our franchise and set us back DECADES with what he did.
Marbury trade, the Eddy Curry trade, the jama crawford max deal, the jerome james 40mm deal, the jared jeffries 30mm deal, the zbo trade, it is all absolute madness.
I bet every GM in the league right now is PRAYING this happens and will line up to deal with him. Especially now given how much better the collective thinking is of most NBA gm's which is aided by advanced stats and a higher value to picks etc.
The concept of Isiah knowing how to draft is also lunacy. He drafted 1 reasonable player for the Knicks in Trevor Ariza and he is a bench guy at best. He took Channing Frye over Danny Granger / Andrew Bynum etc and he just has no idea what he is doing.
It is insane he is evenbeing considefered. Pray ths does not happen.

Wholeheartedly agreed. I really think it's time for this generation to come up with their own identity instead of trying to replicate the Bad Boys and or reminiscing nostalgia.piston1423 wrote:As much as I love the bad boyz, it's time to disconnect from that whole group.
