Yeah not buying the scouting angle. If the Warriors wanted him to go scout a few Pistons games he would have went to a few other games during the Pistons out west road trip instead of catching a game in Detroit.

He was at the Nuggets game in Denver too.

I know. My point was if the reason he was at Pistons games was for scouting, you would think he would of caught more games during the Pistons trip out west instead of waiting a week later to catch a game in Detroit.

Just goes to show there are plenty of reasonable choices to replace Joe. IF Gores had of done it last off-season you could have added Hinkie and McDonough to the list...makes it a pretty long list!

Look at what McDonough has done in PHX, could you imagine what he would have done with our blank slate last summer?

Phoenix has a good young team, but I don't see anything on that roster thats going to lead them to a championship one day. So what has he really done there? All he did was assemble a team of solid young players who fit well together. All that's good for is maybe a 50 win season and a 2nd round appearance someday at best. So he's shown nothing special there from my view. You need stars to win championships and he has none, nor any way of acquiring any in the draft with where they will be picking, and its yet to be seen if he can recruit any big stars there in FA.

I'm not saying he's a bad GM, but I think you are overrating this guy for just putting together a decent team. Or at least prematurately giving him more credit than he deserves at this point in time.

He picked up Eric Bledsoe for next to nothing, has acquired a war chest of draft picks, sold Gortat at peak value and hired a coach whose done so well he's got a "this team is definitely tanking" roster in the playoff hunt in the west. Basically the opposite of Joe's summer.

No future picks lined up but still a great place to start...and yet Joe was allowed to blow it once again!
