Will we make a major trade in the off-season?

I will define major trade as moving the #8 (or whoever we draft there) or moving at least one of Monroe, Drummond, Smith, or Jennings. If Monroe is allowed to walk or is moved in a sign and trade, that is considered a major trade as well.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

If Smith and Jennings are both still on the roster at the start of next season all hope is lost.

I hope Smith & Jennings are both moved this off-season.

I doubt we trade the #8 pick- well, we technically cannot.

If we wanted to trade the pick, we could only do it for another first round pick in this year's draft, or make the pick and then trade the drafted player.

Absolutely. Curious the strategy for the new GM. Two different paths:

1. Dump players and do a rebuild. Good for the GM, it buys him time to remake the roster and no playoff pressure.
2. Make a risky trade and try to find the missing piece and go for the playoffs and more.

Either way, a major trade is happening. He's going to have to do something to make his mark. I hope it is choice #1 and dump Jennings and Smith.

WE'll have a better idea when the GM and Coach are hired, but i'm hoping.
I want Hollins as HC and Smith traded.
