So, do you think SVG will tinker with the roster as is and go for the playoffs with some quick fixes or try and tear the team down and rebuild to suit his vision? Y'all have a plethora of nice bigs but a scarcity of long-range shooters which characterize SVG teams. Do you think the Pistons can find those shooters this offseason?

I don't think that SVG has a boner for long range shooting per se. With that Magic team, he happened to have D12 and a couple of shooters and decided the best idea was to load up with some more. His Heat championship team wasn't a strong shooting team.

Appreciate it. I think he'll try to make minor trades and sign shooters in FA. I don't think it'll be nothing too flashy or sexy. We're not the Magic, so I don't think our game-plan will be to find plenty of 3pt shooters. I'm hoping we turn more defensive and tough, basically Piston basketball.

Well he got the ax after like 21 games and Pat Riley took over the team that won it all that year. SVG's best Miami team, the year before, ranked 3rd in the league in 3pt % and had some good shooters in Eddie Jones, Damon Jones, Wesley Person, Steve Smith, and Rasual Butler.

This will be interesting to see how he handles so many bigs with three prominent ones in Smith, Drummond, and Monroe. None of those guys can shoot threes a la Ryan Anderson but he has had teams with dominant bigs before, the Heat with Zo and Shaq and the Magic with Dwight and Gortat.

They were only 16th in attempts, though. The number of attempts went down each year sine he started coaching too, since I don't think he pushed hard to make it a shooting-centric team.

That said, I think it's obvious that we need more ball movement, which means more shooters. I'd imagine SVG would be planning to pursue shooters.

I think that had more to do with Wade taking more and more shots but I could be wrong.
