Good point! I've been more excited about the coach firings than I have the coaching hires. Outside of LB of course, but the writing was on the wall.

Buddy, our last two coaches were Mo Cheeks and Lawrence Frank. We have a lot of reason to be excited about this coach.

I love the selection. We needed a move like this. SVG drives his players like Thibs and like Thibs his players compete for him. Add to that, he's not putting up with crap from Josh Smith. He's going to set up a system that structures things for Jennings. Jennings will either improve or he'll be on his way. I need Josh to just be on his way.

I was excited when they hired Flip Saunders, who I always liked with Minnesota. He seemed to have a good grasp of the game and handled his team well. Brown has to be the all-time big hire for the Pistons. I'm excited for SVG though, as this team needs a strong coach who will be able to enforce some accountability, and it appears the team is setting him up to be able to do this. Like all Piston fans, hoping for better days ahead.
