What a deflating feeling to know Dumars screwed this up this badly.

Great trade. Admit the mistake on BG and CV. Rebuild the right way. And as much as I hate to give away picks, this is not ever going to be a lottery pick. Even if we suck next year, we will soon be in the playoffs so as the protection lessens on this pick, it will become a mid-teen pick at best.

This didn't quite work as I had hoped. Had we made the playoffs last year, we wouldn't be so worried. We know how last season worked out...

Tonight was soul crushing. To see picks 10-14 coming out with us keeping our pick only to have the league flash that brand new Hornets logo at 9 and knowing Cleveland had jumped into the top 3 was worst case scenario. Now it's done. We have a relatively clean cap sheet and are free from future obligations with draft picks. Joe can't hurt us anymore. It's all about SVG putting the pieces around Drummond to succeed.

For what it's worth I'd take Drummond over Kyrie, Bennett or Wiggins/Parker/Embiid any day. And I still think Kyrie is getting the heck out of town ASAP.

I think there's a clear top 8 of this draft and unless someone drops we'd be missing out on them anyway. Losing Doug McDermott or Staukis isn't going to kill this team.

I'm more upset that it was Cleveland that jumped to 1. I have a hard time believing there wasn't some back room deal that went down to buy off Gilbert after Lebron left. Lebron saved basketball in that city, it's time the league stops doing everything in its power to appease fans that didn't really care that much in the first place.

Soul crushing is the perfect word, this was literally the worst case scenario, i've been in an awful mood all night but this post just put a lot in perspective for me man.

We still have Drummond. The End
