Pistons WILL be a playoff team next year, so plan on drafting 16-30.

Not with Stan in charge. He hates losing with a passion. He will bench Smith if he has to. Pistons will win because Stan will devise a system to use Monroe and Josh as role players.

But, you will see Josh still get some 3 point shots each game because that is part of the system, but not as many as last year for sure.

Pistons will turn this around I expect playoffs next year. It will happen. Mark my words.

CARIS LeVERT!

If we're in the playoffs next year and that mock order stays somewhat similar (which it won't) ...
and everyone plays about around what we expect (hopefully they play better) ...

I would probably be interested in drafting Marcus Paige, PG, UNC with our first. Watched a few games of theirs last season and he really looked good. Smart and pretty efficient shooter, he's a little undersized though... If Jennings ends up being a lost cause, maybe SVG decides to draft someone new to run the point. Would be interested in seeing what international guys decide to declare as well because this draft really does not look that appealing to me right now.

I wonder why Ty Jones or Justice Winslow arent in the mock. If we end up at 8 id probably be hoping Oubre or Levert fall to us. If not id probably rather have Stanley Johnson or Winslow over Jefferson, but until we see them against college comp its tough to say. I think Mudiays going to be a beast, especially with LB coaching him for at least a year.

Even with them, SVG will find a way to win. Mark my words. Bookmark thispage.

That's just ranked based on this years record. Stan has never missed the playoffs in his career. I expect that to continue next year and don't expect the Pistons to be in the lotto anymore for a while (fortunately)

we would've been in the playoffs THIS year if we went with a 3 big rotation from the start. That's partly why losing our pick stings so much for me: we grossly underachieved and have nothing to show for it. No way will we be picking in the top ten next year...

Play-offs will still be tough for us - and health is promised to no one ie Drummond goes down and we're a lottery team. At least now we'd be able to hope for 2nd or 3rd overall as well.

But even if healthy, Miami, Chicago and Indy are locks. Then Toronto, Washington and Charlotte are young up and coming teams who made the play-offs this past year. Brooklyn will likely fade, Atlanta is meh, NYK probably bottoms out as well - but Cleveland, Orlando (Oladipo/Exum back court) and maybe Boston and Philly(Carter-Williams, Noel, Parker, #10) could make big quick rises as well.

I mean if we added Stauskas this year and get bit by injury bug next season and miss play-offs still, it would ROYALLY blow if we won the 2nd or 3rd pick in the lottery and sent that to Charlotte AS IIRC the remaining protection was only #1 next season.

There should be no reward for bad play either. We don't deserve a draft pick. This team had enough talent to be playoff eligable.

i get what you're saying though. we definitely had no business playing as horribly as we did.
