I'll drag my kids into the living room and tell them we can go to their favorite restaurant if we get a top 3 pick. And then, I'll look at the list of teams and their odds, so I know the order to expect them.

Then, Adam Silver will announce: "The 8th pick goes to the Sacramento Kings". Craziness!!!!!! Then they will go through the rest of the names through 4, someone else may have gotten screwed (hopefully Philly), and then commercial break. Afterward, it gets crazy as we get the #2 pick. And it doesn't matter - Embiid, Wiggins, Parker, Exum? Maybe trade down? Who knows. But we will be going out to my kids favorite restaurant later :-)

Are the Kings the only team that could show up at 8 if we moved up into the top 3?

Kings, Lakers and Boston could all be at #8. For the Kings, only 1 team needs to jump. But for Lakers and Boston, 2 and 3 teams would need to jump from the 8th slot or higher, which is extremely unlikely.

If Kings are 10th or 9th you can begin to party as well...

When does the actual lottery happen - I assume right now, with the reveal at 8pm so folks and their superstitions and prayers or what have you should be working them NOW!

I'll be drinking. If we get in to the top 3 I will have a few celebratory glasses of whiskey. If we lose the pick I will drink non stop until I black out. That way the only real loser tonight will be my liver.

I will be happy just to keep the pick. Moving up or winning the lottery is a cool bonus if it happens.

So, I am not doing anything special for today.
