Ehh, I'm not too high on Pope. IMO his ceiling is a better more well rounded Thabo Sefolosha. In other words, a solid role player. Considering the draft he came out of, if he became that caliber of player, that would have to be considered a win.

I'm not saying he should be moved, but I would stop well short of putting him off limits.

Yeah what are you on about? We all love pope. Has all the makings to be the starting SG for many years. Not going to be a no.1 player on a team, but i think should become a 3rd or 4th best player on a winning team. I think will be top 2 or 3 of this draft class once it plays out a little more, which is maybe not saying that much, but considering he didn't even make an all-rookie team or the rising stars game there's some catching up to do.

I think there was kind of a feeling that people were forgetting Caldwell-Pope or giving up on him before the lottery when the talk of Stauskas potentially being the pick at 8 was going strong. I'm fine with seeing what he turns out to be for this season and/or the next while other concerns are addressed. A more consistent jumper might come about with more consistent playing time but maybe it won't. In any case Caldwell-Pope is at least a good defender that doesn't turn the ball over when he gets it in his hands. If that's the extent of his talents then he's still a good guy to keep around but probably doesn't have a whole lot of value as trade piece.

I think he will be a good sixth man type. My gut tells me that he is just a three and d type guy at best.
