So what's your reasoning for not starting Tucker at the 3 who actually shot 39% from 3 and is a better defender on the wing as well?

Smith is a better rebounder, shot blocker, better on fast breaks, steals, and sometimes he sets players up with a nice assist(He can still do that at the 3). Smith is a better overall player than Tucker so you gotta start him, just limit his time at the 3 and then we're gucci(good).

Tucker will get plenty minutes off the bench. Our starting offense will go to Jennings, Morrow(3pters), Monroe and Smith. Tucker comes off the bench and provides defense and 3pt shooting while Morrow sits and KCP plays his typical shy game.

Smith has no buisness at the 3. Not only is it bad for him but its bad for Monroe and Drummond because he cant space the floor. All 3 of those guys are most effective at the rim so it makes zero sense, Especially for a team playing twin towers up front. They were statistically the worst starting trio in the league together..

The only thing they did well together was rebound and thats mostly due to Drummond. Seeing as he lead the league in offensive rebounding by a huge amount. I mean did you even watch how embarrassing Smith was out there?

I can't see Tucker leaving Phoenix. He had way too much success there this year. Obviously money might be a deterrent, as well as the chance of the Suns likely to be chasing help at SF this offseason, but i think there's a very good chance he stays.

I'd like Morrow and JHam. Morrow isn't someone to stick around on a team because he's not someone who can really do a whole lot outside of shoot 3's, but he's already announced he will test FA, and N.O makes no sense to go back to, there's just too many guards for him to get minutes. Playing him 10 mins a game as a 4th or 5th wing to keep the defense honest can be incredibly effective if the team is strong enough.

JHam might not be good enough to be a rotation player, but he's one of those guys i've always liked when he gets some run. He's still young enough that there is a chance of a strong reward, and probably comes at a reasonable price. Combination of size, athleticism and a nice jumpshot generally has the makings of a good player, but he needs to play smarter. There's a reason he couldn't get on the floor for Houston (or even Denver) last season when a backup 3 to give them some scoring was exactly what they needed.

I wouldn't call it embarrassing, maybe more like chemistry problems. You had to have known there were going to be growing pains man, Rome wasn't built in a day. At the beginning of the season I saw a team that played decent with an average coach. When Lower was coaching I saw a team who lost hope.

Motown, I promise I'll admit I'm wrong if our big 3 doesn't play well with SVG. Having Smith playing next to Moose and Drummond can work if used correctly. The Bulls, Hawks, and Jazz used a big 3 and it worked, you just have play it correctly. Good coaching really makes a difference.

I dont think you are going to get that chance to see the 3 of them start together again. SVG is alot smarter then to start them together. He said there will be situations where they can play together but they need shooters to open up the floor so they have room to operate. He also said they need to be put them in the right position to succed.

Not that I think our Big 3 ever has/had any chance of working, but the fact that Moose and Smith are both left handed makes it especially difficult to fit them together with Dre since neither can space the court. They both like to operate from the right elbow.

I know he may not be cheap but I didn't know Lance Stephenson was only 23.
I definitely think he could play for SVG.
I really like KCP so I'd play Lance at SF actually even though he's a little small.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!
