As stated earlier, these are exceptionally talented players, but you can make some judgments.

Only a fool would trade Drummond for Embiid, given the uncertainty of the latter.

Only a fool WOULDN'T trade Drummond for Embiid and one of Wiggins/Parker, because that's just too much talent to pass up, uncertainty or not. I'd probably take Parker just to mitigate the risk, because Wiggins has boom or bust written all over him. He's too much like McLemore for my tastes.

Currently Embiid appears to be much more polished offensively (however we havent seen him vs NBA talent) but Drummond's physical & athletic ability is unmatched, he literally moves like a 7 foot, 275 lb 2 guard.

Drummond doesn't have the offensive instincts and footwork that Embiid has and that is what makes Embiid's ceiling higher. Drummond just doesn't have the footwork and smooth athleticism that Embiid has just like Embiid will never have the sheer bulk that Drummond has...but Embiid is up to 265 pounds.

Darko looked pretty good when he was running around in an empty gym. The NBA is full of can't miss big guy's who have missed. It's clear Drummond isn't a miss. Embiid is a heck of a prospect but it's a waste of time comparing the two of them until Embiid has gone through at least one 82 game season against grown men. I'd also reserve judgement on Drummond's "offensive instincts", the guy averaged 13.5 ppg on 62% despite playing in no real offensive system and getting no plays run for him. Saying Drummond isn't a smooth athlete makes me wonder if you've watched the guy at all or are just living off the recycled "he's DeAndre Jordan" opinions.

Joel might be the next big thing, but he has no track record in the NBA yet. Work out tapes are not the same thing as playing in the league.

exactly THIS ^^^. Drummond and Embiid are damn near the same age and Drummond already has played in the NBA

I wouldn't trade Drummond for Embiid. Embiid looks the goods to me and I think he could become something very special with his accelerated learning curve, natural feel for the game on both ends, and nimble footwork/variety of moves in the post, but nothing is a sure thing especially when he hasn't even played an NBA game let alone gone through the rigors/physical grind of an 82 game season. Drummond at the very least is going to be a perennial all-star and one of the most impactful players in the league pretty soon. Can't go wrong with that if you acquire and develop other pieces to complement him.

Drummond is probably going to be a Top 5 and quite possibly best Center in the entire NBA. You dont' trade that just because another Center looks a little bit more promising on the offensive side.

Yeah, with Embiid's injury this doesn't seem to be a discussion.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy
