Nash would probably retire asap wouldn't he?

If he retires he doesn't get paid. He'd probably just be injured, in and (mostly) out of the roster for two seasons before it expires.

Nash only has one season left on his contract. I would be pretty happy with trading Jennings for him assuming another point guard like Isaiah Thomas is brought in.

Right, forgot that he sort of played two years ago for the Lakers during their failed super team experiment. But it wasn't a commentary on trade value, just a reminder that there's no way he'd retire--and his contract wouldn't come off the cap even if he did (though he wouldn't get paid in actuality).

Our best bet would be to move Bynum and play Jennings off the bench.

I think that would be my favorite move if we did bring in Thomas. Jennings off the bench could work. There's no way I'd want 20m in cap tied up in undersized PGs.

Also might want to change your sig...Afflalo clearly didn't have overrated trade value

Ha! It was overrated before he was moved, anyway. Orlando fans said he was worth a lottery pick.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Just scored 57 in a Drew League game...his trade value's never been higher, get rid of him SVG!

I would think we would be sending the pick.

Oh how the mighty have fallen if Brandon Jennings has more value than Steve Nash.

If Jennings can't be traded, then I hope Stan inspires him to play up to his abilities.

Jennings is tweeting about getting Drummond to play on his Drew League team - get this guy traded ASAP. Don't need Dre playing that stuff.

Drew league is nothing but disorganized street ball trash. Dre's time would be better spent working with professional trainers, or his peers that actually focus on getting better in the off season.

I think this year will be Jennings' FINAL chance. He already has a pretty horrid reputation around the league, and with 5 years under his belt already this season will be the final chance to prove he is a capable point guard in the league.

I honestly feel bad for the guy. He had so much hype coming out of high school and has shown glimpses of being a great player but his basketball IQ is just SOOO low. Part of me wants to believe that he will really turn it around this year and gives a **** about his reputation and listen to SVG, but from what he's proven that probably will not happen.

It's honestly a way for their egos to get boosted, nothing more.

Jennings should just stay there.
