Smith/2nd for Bledsoe could work for both sides.

You obviously dont watch much Phoenix ball

Dragic/Thomas/Ennis
Bledsoe/Goodwin
Green

Gerald Green is SF in addition to being a SG.

Best deal so far this offseason in my opinion. Suns now have 3 quality PGs, Pistons have zero.

Yup, that's a great deal for a guy with IT's track record. That team is gonna look like they're playing on rollerblades next year.

I like IT and I don't see why we couldn't have matched that, but I also don't think he wouldn't have changed things too much here. We eventually need someone who'll be a solid two-way player so maybe the FO was thinking that was too long to commit to a guy who wasn't a long term answer, even if he was a good deal. (Or maybe he just didn't want to play for us?)

Isaiah Thomas is not a starting point guard on a contender. Period. He would have been nice here mostly because it would me less of Jennings, if not Jennings moved not to mention the S&T angle for Smith. Sacto didn't see him as starting caliber, and either did Phoenix given they signed him to be the 3rd in three guard rotation.

Not sure how much you watched them, but PJ Tucker started all their games at SF.

And his primary backup was Marcus Morris.

Now, I'm sure Green got some spot minutes at SF from time to time....

Tucker actually started most of his games at power forward not small forward. It was Dragic/Bledsoe/Green/Tuck/Frye

I believe Green played SG in all of the games Bledsoe was injured for.

He split time equally, and will presumably play small forward for them next year.

I don't think they need a trade, and I don't think that's their plan right now. They might be open to moving Ennis, but I think they like Bledsoe, Thomas, Dragic together.

Are you trying to argue that Green can't play SF full time. He's 6'8 shoots 40% from 3 and is one of the most athletic players in the league.

No, merely pointing out the TUCKER was their starting SF all of last season.

They brought Green off the bench until Bledsoe got injured. Before Bledose got injured, Green was Bledsoe's primary backup at SG.

Now, like I said before, I'm sure he got spot minutes at SF from time to time.....in a backup role - but at less than 200 lbs., he can't play there often or for long stretches.

And Frye (they're starting PF all of last season) is currently a FA

And PF is still likely a need for them.

Frye signed with Orlando

I think Orlando will be a much-improved team. Probably miss the playoffs still, probably on par with us as faras record, but they have a lot of good, young talent.

Payton
Oladipo
Fournier
Ben Gordon
Willie Green
Aaron Gordon
Harkless
T. Harris
Marble
Frye
Nicholson
Vucevic
O'Quinn

Only players over the age of 24 are Frye, Willie Green and Ben Gordon :o

Payton 30/Oladipo 18

Oladipo 18/Fournier 30

Aaron Gordon 30/Harkless 18
T. Harris 30/Harkless & Frye 18

Vucevic 34/Frye 14

Tank!

What incentive do they have for trying to win games? Play the kids, hope you end up with a great draft pick and keep your cap sheet pretty clean

I don't think they would have spent ~ $13 million per season for Frye/BG if their intent was to tank.

Tanking teams usually go after vet min guys out of the gate.
