That's highly unlikely. Martin, Gray, and Dinwiddie will all be signed when the Monroe situation is resolved.

The fine print of the CBA says he has to be tendered an offer by September 5 (i think is the date) in order for us to retain his rights until the next draft. There'd be no incentive for him to not accept the tender.

IIRC, there's also a provision that allows a team and player to amicably agree that the player will not play in the NBA for the season so that they can retain rights to the player while not being on the roster or counting towards the cap.

That's for first round picks like Dario Saric who are playing with a non-NBA team. It gets rid of the cap hold for that year. Second round picks have no cap hold.
