Appears to be finally getting a chance to play now, awesome to see.

I was absolutely NOT one of them. I totally thought he was overrated. I felt so strongly I changed my avatar to a bullseye on a whale (Shamu=Shabazz).

That being said, if we can pick him up cheaply (no first rounder, no KCP), it can't hurt. We're not going to be elite with our current group of SFs, that's for sure.

Can't win em all, Shabazz was pretty safe though if you knew who he was. He's able to score in a variety of ways. The weight loss & assist ability has definitely helped him improve drastically.

2 guys who I've yelled about for a while who are really panning out are Shabazz & Perry Jones in OKC who I've been enamored with for a while. That kid has major potential is given the opportunity.

Either guy who would be a huge get for a team like Detroit.

Good post, mini Rip aka KCP will be fine. His outstanding d alone makes him a keeper.

The offense will come. Just keep shooting!

Mini Rip!!??

KCP was not a great shooter in college, Summer leauge or Reg season, why do people keep thinking he's a great shooter? Because he shoots a lot?

He shot 49% on 2's & 37% from 3 in his final season at UGA.

Stop embarrassing yourself.

^^Shooting 37% from the college three for ONE season, two years ago makes you a great shooter? Ok, and even though Rip was near automatic from Mid-range, KCP is similar. I feel embarassed for you if you think that's true.

1 decent game followed by 2 games scoring 1 points does not make you a starting quality sf. We don't need anymore mediocre SF's. We've got plenty.

You said "great" shooter, I didn't.

What else stat wise do we have to go off of? He hasn't played a consistent role with the Pistons just yet.

37 from 3 is very good, 50 from 2 is outstanding for a wing.

He's mini Rip because of the way he plays. (Not a shot creator, best coming off screens etc)

We do realize the 3pt line in college is 4 feet closer right?

A lot of big guys can hit the 3 in college because it's so close, but that doesn't mean they should be shooting them at the next level.

Also, it wasn't until later in his career that Rip really honed in his 3pt shot. Early on he was pretty awful from deep.
