Sadly, Randle broke his leg kicking himself as he drove to the basket last night. :o I wish the guy a speedy recovery...not impressed by his skillset at all. He reminds me of a big strong PF who played for the Fighting Illini back in the day. I think his name was Deon Thomas. Overrated, undersized power forward with some quickness and strength to compliment his wild game.

Randle could end up better than Deon Thomas, but he isn't the answer to what the Lakers need and he wouldn't do much to help us either.

This is awful. lol.

Just let the Jennings trade suggestions die, put yourself in the other team's shoes for once... why would you want him? Even the Lakers have Lin, do you really think that Jennings is some kind of major upgrade over Lin? Is Jennings going to make a big difference long-term like Randle is for the Lakers? Is Jennings the kind of guy who can carry a team? IF he is, why are we getting rid of him?
You even say that Jennings can be their 6th man  don't you think the future value of Randle is worth more than a 6th man?

Let's just hope that SVG can limit Jennings shots to under 10 per game. As well as hoping that he shows ability to be a strong passer, like 8-10 APG this year, while putting effort in on defense. There's nothing to suggest that it is entirely possible, but if he does go through with that, then I think we would be a whole lot less against him. In fact, he might be a middle of the pack point guard if that happened, and that would be a huge win for us.

If I were the Lakers, I wouldn't trade Nash straight up for Jennings. The Lakers are going to get out of Nash and Lin's contract at the end of the year iirc and then they will be able to offer cash to a better player.
