Drummond's defensive instincts looked good in the summer league before he ever played a game in the NBA. My opinion, but....he is just in a little slump. And, yes, I assume he needs to learn a lot.

I agree, which means his problem is mental. The NBA is much faster, and his reads suck at that speed. Good news is, that's definitely something learnable.

As I've said before, he doesn't have basketball instincts on either end so he will never be great or a superstar.
