I find it real funny teams like the raptors and hornets have one or two good seasons and all of a sudden they think there team is on top of the world

Actually they did bottom out they had Bargs and Gay and Masai got lucky and got rid of both.
Then got rid of Novak and traded Salmons for Williams and Bruno and a good free agent signing in James Johnson.

When your team win a title then you can come tell us what to do with our team

I wish I could give this multiple and 1s

Jennings looks better this year and if you SVG can control his chucking he isn't a 1/2 bad PG much better than Augustine. Detroit can't rebuild overnight and you haven't anything to trade to make a significant improvement.

2015 I would throw the MAX at Jimmy Butler to play SF brings defense and looks like he can bring offense. Its hard to be in Detroit's situation but you need to bottom before you can move forward.

That said best of luck.

Being on the low end of the treadmill is not bottoming out. You want us to throw away the season in hopes of a good draft pick. In this current episode of the Raptors, at what point did you guys do that?

Doubt we'll "throw the year away" with Van Gundy.. But with Monroe leaving, it's a rebuild next year whether people want to admit it or not. We do have cap space next year.. Hopefully SVG has a plan..

It's silly to be talking about this being a "throw away" year just yet. Yeah, the record is 2-4, but it's only 2-4!? If we get to 20-40 then you start thinking throw away year. Get healthy, get the team some time in the system, and then see where you are. Cammac has always seemed like a good poster to me, so even if we disagree with his assessment there's no need to run him or the Raptors down.

Agreed. If Monroe leaves, I think we should rebuild ASAP. Unless we're going to go for Smith 2.0 again where we overpay for a FA when we're not close to being playoff material by then. No more bandaid fixes that plagued this franchise for half a decade.

I don't view the Raptors as having ever really bottomed out. Maybe they tried... but they got rid of Gay midseason and ultimately ended up going on a huge run making the playoffs after that.
DeRozan, 9th pick in 2009.
Jonas Val, 5th pick in 2011.
Ross, 8th pick in 2012.
Good trade stealing Lowry.

It has been some pretty good GMing overall. I don't think the bottomed out. When I think bottomed out, I think about the 76ers this year :P maybe I just look at it way too extreme.

Watched the majority of the game, was hoping KCP would end up with 20+ PPG after his 11 point first half... but meh. Also liked how we got down early but came back.. didn't like how we got up by double digits and then lost though :P. Still had open shots near the end and we just blew it.

Word.. Let's not become "that" fan base.. I'd rather have other fan bases feel welcome to come and post in here..

Can anyone tell me what happened to Singler this year? He can't get open, can't finish, can't hit shots and is getting burned on defense. Last night there was a point where you heard SVG scream, "no Kyle, no!!"

I thought we had ourselves a solid basketball player. Almost a Spurs type player...

Not sure "when", but he's looked pretty awful this year, agreed. Martin needs to get back and take some of his minutes, and we might as well give Gigi a look while we wait. Singler hasn't earned playing more than 15 minutes a game this year, if that.

Throw away the season!? Ridiculous.

It's too early to think like that. This team is generally bad, being worse doesn't guarantee future improvement. Look at all the terrible habits SVG is fiercely trying to coach out of this team.

This team just needs to show improvement as a cohesive basketball team. They don't even have to improve the record by much, in my opinion. They just have to show improved playmaking and teamwork.

I feel like I'm in the minority, as I'm not judging this team by their W/L record. It's more about how they play the game, this season. At least, to me.
