CRIES to SVG.. (!!!!)

Post#1 » by blueadams » Fri Nov 14, 2014 3:59 pm

Cry #1: Please find a 4 that can shoot from deep. Please. Watching this offense operate. With Smith out there, at the 4. He gets so, so many wide open deep shots. If he was someone who could hit them.. damned if we wouldn't be a dangerous squad. There aren't a lot of legit NBA 4's -- who can guard and rebound for the position, and -- shoot 3's. But Ryan Anderson is one of them. Anthony Davis might be the 3rd best player in the NBA. New Orleans likes using him at the 4. He would really benefit from having a great center alongside him. Monroe IS a great center. He's a great intangibles guy, teammate. He's young. He's from New Orleans. He'd resign there. PLEASE work something out between these two, SVG.

Cry #2: Please do EVERYTHING you can do to move Smith and Jennings. These guys.. they were just mistakes, they're not going to help us in our pursuits, and they're cap space could potentially be spent so, so much wiser. Take something. Take nothing. I really don't think it'd be impossible to move either. There are some things they could bring to some teams. Their contracts really aren't THAT horrific. There's gotta be some playoff teams looking to short up who'd take them on. Please.

Cry #3: There are two attainable, pending FA's to-be that I think we could and should get. #1-PG Goran Dragic. #2-SF Arron Afflalo. These guys are both vastly underrated. They're both great outside shooters. They're both solid-enough defenders. They're both good intangibles guys. They're both relatively young, and in their primes. And Dragic is actually one of the best pick-and-roll guards in the game (Drummond!!).

Cry #4: Please draft Caris LeVert. Looking at this coming draft class -- and I don't care where he ends up being projected -- he is the superstar. Like Jalen Rose, a legit 3-position player. A much better prospect than Nik Stauskas or Trey Burke. A legit NBA SUPERSTAR prospect.

Dream Team next season..

C: Drummond, ???
PF: Anderson, Mitchell
SF: Afflalo, KCP, Martin
SG: LeVert, Meeks
PG: Dragic, Augustine

I don't think Stan really wants to play Smith at the 3 but feels he has to right now. Singler and Butler have proven to be trash( well more so Singler than Butler) but yeah. I hope Cartier Martin gets in the rotation at this point. He was good in the pre season, maybe he can offer somthing? Then we get a healthy Jodie Meeks back.

Jennings/Augustine/Dinwiddie
KCP/Meeks/Singler
Jerebko/Martin/Butler
Monroe/Smith/Jerebko
Drummond/Monroe/Anthony

Jerebko might be the guy to bring the energy to the starting lineup. With the offense run through Monroe, he'd be able to find the cutting Jerebko and shooters all the time with his passing.

Then hopefully we can make a few trades as well.

I have never read any of these ideas before on this board. /s

Okay, I'm sorry, but this is frustrating. It's 8 games into a new season with a new Coach/GM.
#1, if I'm NO I'm not doing it. Asik got frustrated when he got benched for Howard, and he's a great pair with AD. Plus, they can bring in Anderson to pair with either. Also, Ryan Anderson is making just 8.5M and after this year he is an expiring contract.
#2 with Jennings is a total joke, he's been playing very well. Everyone on the board agrees about moving Smith, but oh well.
#3. Thought Affalo was a SG, but whatever, it's not like Denver gave up a ton to get him. Both of these players are being suggested right now. I still imagine that Phoenix will do everything in their power to keep Dragic.
#4 is hilarious, if he's really a superstar then he'll get drafted very high. Unless you think we're going to tank or win the lottery, I don't know how we will draft him. It's not like he's a D2 or 3 player who has never been heard of... he plays for UM. He also had the benefit of playing with Stauskas last year, let's see how he does this year as 'The Guy'. I also really doubt that LeVert projects as being a 3-position starter in the NBA... he'd need to put on weight... like 30+ lbs, maybe more.

Fournier just turned 22 a couple weeks ago and he's averaging 18ppg, looks like Denver might have got schooled on that deal.

well, look how Drummond is playing so far. Could Fournier be over-achieving? (He's shooting 50% from 3..) Or maybe it's because the Magic are awful and it's giving him all the opportunities without any pressure.
Maybe Fournier will pan out for them, not sure yet. I liked the deal for both teams, but I liked it for Denver more. I didn't think that Fournier would perform at this level this soon, but if the Nuggets don't win a lot of games, then the trade will definitely look silly in hindsight.

It's too early to tell if Fournier is having a hot start to the season and will regress to the mean over the course, or Denver legitimately blew it on that a rental.

Ryan Anderson - the most popular trade target on Real GM!

Anyone would think he's the only stretch 4 in the NBA
