if this is true then Jennings needs to get his teammates to the arena earlier or make them stay late so they can get in the practice they need. If the team needs more time to practice then its Jennings job to find that extra time.

if every team spends the same amount of time in practice and your team is behind then you have spend extra time outside of regular practices to catch up. Otherwise you are just trading defense for shooting.
