LOL at somebody thinking that Drummond could ever be a 25/15 guy, I doubt the expectations were ever that high. I do think people believed that he could be an 18-20 point scorer but its looking far more likley that he maxes out as a 14-16 point per game player, which is great as long as he is a defensive anchor. His defensive game is far more important than scoring.

I'd be thrilled if Dre turned into a prime Tyson Chandler, an allstar, DPOY, All NBAer and the defensive anchor of a championship team. When I see Andre, I am hoping for that type of player defensively combined with Andre keeping up his rebounding and atleast putting up 13 points a game on putbacks & alley oops.

How many people actually believe that a player can average 25/15? It's just exaggeration from a few fans. Pretty sure no one with common sense takes that seriously.

If we're incredibly lucky. I don't think Drummond is going to turn into the blue chipper that so many pegged him to be. From my perspective, we still don't have a player we can build a team around.

Yeah. If Dre keeps playing like this I think his ceiling would be lower than what we all projected. I'd bench him. If it really shakes his confidence then that says a lot about his character. It's too weak anyways to become an All-Star so why not take the chance?

I just don't think he's ever going to be a post-up player. I think his ceiling is a smaller Tyson Chandler, their career arc seems similar, as Tyson came into the league as a young mega athlete, and eventually developed his defensive instincts. He's a fine player, but not a franchise cornerstone.

Just size-wise and atheltically speaking, how is Drummond a smaller Chandler. He has like 70 pounds on him. And while prime Chandler could jump, he's not nearly the fluidly, crazy fast and cordinated athlete Drummond is.

With that said, I would be extremely surprised if Drummond didn't end up better than Tyson Chandler.

Epheisey is actually correct, there was at least one or two posters that actually believed he could do that. Most people didn't have those kinds of expectations though. I personally thought Dre could be a 20-22/12/3 guy. Jury's still out on that, but it's not looking like he'll ever be that type of scorer.
