And there is no team in the NBA under 94 ppg allowed. Only Memphis, San Antonio and OKC are under 95 ppg allowed. Keeping teams under 90 is unrealistic. It's been 2 years since a team was allowing under 90 ppg and that was Chicago in 12-13 at 89.3 ppg allowed.

At 99.5 ppg allowed, we're tied for 13th with Chicago. Yes, Chicago.

Our defense is not the problem.

i was reading a article that stated that if on avg. NBA teams can hold opponents to a certain number we'd have a winning record. i think i am mis-remembering as we most definitely aren't the bulls. Though that number did surprise me

Also when SAS was a younger team POP had them forcing TOs as well..... Great teams force TOs but they know when to pick their spots

You want to ignore the 2005 rules changes and go back to 1990s defense?

This team isn't even close to being .500 even if Smoove didn't play a single minute all season. Keep blaming the season on him but the reality is, this whole team sucks. He's not shooting well, no question about it. But no one on this team is shooting well.

Re read my post & try responding again. Not once did I blame the whole season on him. He has played a huge role in our utter failure the past 2 years but the coaches deserve just as much blame for forcing him to be something he's not. (A shooter or top offensive option, wing defender).

When 90% of your post blame Smith for the teams failures it starts sounding like a one trick pony... might want to expand your horizons

Yes, a 54 million dollar one trick pony. & saying Josh has 1 trick is being kind.

(Yes this post has a sarcastic tone, it's the only way I could respond to that nonsense)

1 - no one can deny we're playing legit D now! No gambling, no BS - we're above league average for opponent's ppg

2 - no one can deny that SVG is developing Dre & KCP - the only legit young talent we have under contract beyond this season

3 - SVG has been in his dual roles for less than a full season. Give him time.

This instant gratification BS needs to stop. Play the long game
