Drummond won't leave...SVG is selling him on the "present pain for future benefit" thing.
IF Drummond is going to be a legit franchise player then THIS is what you've got to do!
A season of growing pains, a season of "awkward"...if he's willing to work (and apparently he is) then this is expected for his development
The thing that really annoys me? This idea that Ryan Anderson is THE solution at PF! According to every fanbase he's THE stretch 4 everyone needs!
I like the guy but if Rhyno is THE key to winning big in the NBA then WTF?
The object of the game is to force your opponent to play your style of ball! If you've got a small team then you try to run and gun since you'll be overpowered in the halfcourt. If you've got 2 legit bigs then slow it down and pound the paint. If you've got a bunch of multi skilled dudes then drive and kick until you find the opening
It ain't rocket science! Basketball is a simple strategy game - pkay to your strength and take away your opponent's

It's only once you get into that Dwight/Shaq range of getting 8-10 FTA per game where it starts to become a real issue IMO. Drummond in drawing fouls right now at literally half the frequency those two guys have over their careers.
If he had a .600 FT% for his career, he'd have averaged 11.99 ppg so far, instead of 11.33 ppg. Not that much of a difference.
He'd be fouled a lot more if the Pistons actually carried leads into the 4th qtr. and he was given more minutes there. From my POV, it seems that Andre receives his fewest minutes in the 4th.
