If your going to chose the devils advocate position you can't complain about the reaction to it. Also i was just merely stating that Plumlee isn't a scrub so i don't understand why you were surprised or that Plumlee seems like the better player now, when he's always been the more ready player. Your also contradicting yourself a bit, if your not on the Dre hype band wagon, then why are you surprised Plumlee is better?

I'm ready for the youth movement to start anytime. No one could accuse the Pistons of tanking, as they hardly could be any worse. More Dinwiddie and Mitchell please.

Nice game by Plumlee. He sure showed Drummond where the bear shat in the buckwheat!
Those Plumlee brothers are pretty good athletes.

4 days off in a row now. I expect a trade or at least a very different rotation by the next game vs Indiana on Friday

So Stan Van HAS to be trying to force Monroe to ask for a trade at this point.

Jerebko is good alongside Monroe on offense, but together they form a poor defensive frontcourt duo. Jerebko is a pure European player in all his glory. He continues to miss defensive assignments and appears not to be a good communicator in transition. If you saw the Nets game in its entirety, you would have noticed how he got pulled from the game after his second missed assignment in a row. He screws himself out of more minutes because his HC is intense about playing disciplined defense.

Do you think there is some urgency to win? I'm fairly certain Stan wants a high 1st round lottery pick. The commentators noted that Van Gundy had recently discussed the importance of evaluating the roster while slowly incorporating his system. He's been pretty vanilla with his offensive schemes. I can't back it up with facts, but I would imagine that is because he doesn't see some of the players returning for another season. No sense in sharing the juicy tidbits of his playbook.

Plumlee went through coach K's system and has been more ready day 1. As you continue to ignroe, Dre's value is not in what he currently is, but what he shows he can be. Plumlee i believe can also be just as good.

To be fair, Plumlee has 11 & 8 in 23 mins, Drum has 12 & 27 in 21. Slight overreaction on Plumlee outplaying Drummond.

& while this game has nothing to do with the future, it has even less to do with the National team which you've brought up.

Contrary to popular belief, I don't hold confirmation bias with anyone on this roster whether good or bad. This season proved to me that nearly everyone is underperforming/playing bad and shouldn't be kept under a microscope. I'm looking at the bigger picture, you? If I had it my way, everyone under the age of 23 would be considered decent keepers while everyone traded away or key vets in place.

13 points 5 rebs and 2 assits in 14 minutes is pretty solid bit more than average. He also hustled for half those rebounds and hedged decently on defense not letting Teletovic torch him. Him and JJ were the only reasons why we weren't blown out.

I really don't care about the Monroe debate either way, ever since Q00 killed anything about dialogue, don't you turn into him by making everything about Monroe.

Nothing too serious... just thought it was humorous seeing a post about Smith's defense yet he never mentions when Monroe is having a bad defensive game... like Smith is the worst defender of the two.

Gotcha. To be fair, he did credit Smith having elite rim protector status (or was it shot blocker), as did I. I think he just used hyperbole with the terrible defense stuff, but I'm not speaking for him though.

You sure are running to his defense a lot, Aaron.
