I don't care if he starts or comes off the bench, but I hope he plays atleast 20 minutes a game.

^^^THIS!!

Give the kid substantive minutes when the games matter. That's what the young players need to get better. A lot of these young guys have played each other in summer leagues, pro ams, and camps for years so there's no need to shrink from the competition. The Mayor seems to be mentally sharp, so I think he has the plays down. He also has a nice feel for driving and dishing coupled with the added bonus of being able to see over his defender, so I expect easy baskets for the bigs.

As for his tendency to take the long ball, I think that can be attributed to him either not being totally there physically or needing to adjust to the speed and size of the other players. Whatever the case may be, additional minutes will help him greatly. I love the idea of Dinwiddie getting 18 to 20 minutes a game. I hope he's been in practice earning that opportunity.

NOTE: No Tony Mitchell please. I would prefer not to see an uninspired athletic freak who has done little to nothing to develop his game. His indifferent demeanor frustrates me. His coasting in the D-League says all that needs to be said about him. I mean, Vernon Macklin went down to the D-League manhandling teams on the boards and in the post. Mitchell, has done little to distinguish himself from that level of competition.

I'd also like to see Dinwiddie at the 'point two' spot - perhaps he can create a little for Jennings. I've always thought that Jennings, being as tiny as he is, would go well with an attacking two. With the 30+ minutes at forward now opening up, we're likely to see two of our point guards on the court at a time.

Regarding Mitchell, there has to be some reason why he's still on the roster. Give it a shot for a few games now, and if he totally sucks, as he very well might, then cut him. We haven't dropped him yet, so I'm guessing an opportunity to play is soon........ and yes, on the bench he looks as if he's thinking about his next bag of Doritos.......

Dinwiddie isn't going to start with Jennings still in Detroit. Be realistic.

Stan says Dinwiddie is likely going to the Dleague if he doesn't get any PT soon. It seems like nothing has changed, Spencer is still 3rd in the depth chart, although he should atleast be 2nd.
