Just post your opinion man, it'll help keep this place colorful.

I hate to come off this way. But if you and a few others really like Smiths disgusting approach to Basketball than you don't really know much about basketball. Finn is smart for not posting often because more than likely he's going to keep sounding like Finn McFool.

Lol this post is hilarious. I'm just trying to figure out, beyond the guy playing for your team, what could make ANYONE a fan of Josh Smith? Beyond blocking shots and high flying dunks earlier in his career, there's nothing on the court he does that's aesthetically pleasing to make you say, "I love to watch that guy play". Curry and Durant, I'll never question that. But Josh Smith? Seriously, somebody PLEASE tell me. He never to me was somebody you had to watch.

I'd joke with you, but you'd probably take it wrong. I think you may know me from another site. A guy over there with the same user name disappeared not too long ago.

I have sat relatively quiet for awhile. I don't particularly like all the attacks on my computer from this place... which tends to happen when I open this message box. So, I usually spend a few moments looking around without posting.

As far as Smith is concerned... well, I don't endear myself to these players that strongly. I used to do that 30 years ago before I became a legal adult. I just think it's foolhearty to believe one guy was the reason the Pistons had played so poorly.

Some think that's the case, but some others think 2 guys were to blame. Jennings and Smith. Maybe I'm wrong, but you seem like the latter... and therefor start your verbal assault on Jennings before the game gets beyond the first substitution.

I see several issues with this team.

It's hard for people who don't understand the fundamentals of basketball to not understand how Smith was the problem. Stick with me kid and I'll try to teach you. And as for Jennings, His game is based on being hot and cold. He's been playing good lately but with some of his shot selection I'm still seeing he's not going to fully turn the corner.

And the only other site I've been logged in on PSD.

If I'm a kid, you must be older than dirt. I taught basketball for years... and maintained my own AAU club. What would you like to teach me?

I wouldn't even know where to start seeing as your a Josh Smith fan. Oh and that's right you're not a kid seeing as you just stated you became a adult 30 years ago. So you're a 50 something year old troll

So you're going to resort to name-calling? And I'm the kid? If you feel the need to retaliate for my earlier pillory, that's fine, but maybe you can post with a little more maturity. No sense in lowering yourself to my standards.

I wouldn't normally result to name calling but I have zero respect for people like you. All your posts are nothing but going through threads to try to troll. Anyways it's way past you're bedtime and " Golden Girls" is probably waiting on the TV for you and that temperpedic is calling you're name McFool, So I will talk to you later.

Finn's posts have been solid, its just some people cannot listen to dissenting opinions without getting upset and insulting people.

Smith is a horrible basketball player, just downright dreadful IMO- but that doesn't mean that those who think he still has something left in the tank don't have any knowledge of basketball. He very well may be a solid performer on a different team, who knows.

So much hubris on this board, and attacking. I've probably just been here too long and posted too frequently.

Incorrect, He decided to quote one of my opinions and talk trash and I've watched him try to trash a bunch of Ludicity's post as well.

It's POP. I don't know why either of you are wasting your time with him

POP is simply showing caution with team. You don't start as badly as the pistons did for no reason. And even with one big reason removed and meeks back, Detroit will have to show a lot to get wins against the next few opponents. It's hard not to get carried away with a few wins when we haven't seen them for a while, but the Spurs, Dallas, Atlanta, Toronto are all playing great. I love the optimism around here now, but we still only have 9 wins on the season.

i think there's more reason for optimism than pessimism around here.

1.) We won 4 WINS IN A ROW DVs33!!!! Our previous team could barely get one win. 3 were on the road. If "THE CHANGE" never happened, i think 90% of this optimism wouldn't be prevelant, however as i said this is a completely new team, with a new offense, with new personnel.

2.) Yes we have won 9 games, but we are in the hunt for the 8th spot. 4.5 games out is not impossible which is amazing considering last week we had 5 wins

3.) We are winning with our youth as the forefront of our offense. Dre is showcasing why the league is so high on him.

The team is literally doing everything most of us have talked about wanting all year. I would say 90% of this board a week ago had given up on this season, and now we are one of the most exciting teams. The fact that some posters here are looking forward to a pistons team collapse makes me wonder if they really are pistons fans.

C'mon Blkbrd, you know me better than that  I'm forever the optimist, I got my ticket on the playoff push train :D

My post was more to stick up for PoP as i believe some posters here were being a little harsh too. PoP brings up some valid points that i think some were ignoring.

Are we all really resorting to name calling and questioning who is or who isn't a "kid"??

Let's keep it friendly people. No need for BS

I appreciate the sentiment, Prince.

I did criticize MM. He must be a Leo or Aquarius. Sensitive. Damn them who not giveth thee puffery.

I take issue with folks who think their opinions are superior. I can't help but battle for the litttle man, the faint of heart... to give him or her a voice, amongst those who twist words and make false accusations in order to squash such rebellion and individual thinking.
