I kiddingly made a remark about getting up a poll about waiving Singler in the game thread, but it's not time to decide we have to do something drastic based on his recent slump. He was horrific yesterday, but he usually is just okay. Are there better options available that don't cost the team too much? His coaches always like what he brings to the team even though he pretty much never sets the fans on fire. At the moment, things don't appear to be broke. I'm sure SVG is looking to improve the team where he can.

I have to agree about KCP. He can play the 3 in certain situations, but he's a 2 and would wear down quickly trying to guard 3s.

Three points to bring to this thread:

1) I don't buy this "I don't touch anything" mentality. Don't let one winning streak fool you. This team has holes and lots of them, even if we are a lot better than we were before Christmas. This team needs to be actively looking for ways to get better and improve their team.

2) I don't think we can get away with starting Pope at the 3 against most teams. He's not big enough.

3) Singler has been absolutely awful since the trade. I don't think trading him or trying to does much good, but if we can figure out ways to limit his playing time that'd be fabulous.

Changes still need to be made

As long as we're riding this streak, there's no reason to tinker. But right now this team isn't just winning games by getting lucky, or having a few good breaks. They're controlling good teams.

But I defer to Stan. If he approves, I trust that he's probably right. That being said, I don't anticipate any moves. He has this team where he wants them. They're building that mythical "culture" that we've been lacking for so long. They're having fun, and the chemistry with this team right now is sky high. IMO that was his goal for his first season. Anything beyond this is a bonus, and there's no reason to force things when the ceiling for this team right now is somewhere between the 6-8 seed.
