How realistic is it that we could throw Max-ish money at Bulter or Leonard when taking Monroe's cap hold into account?

Very rough math:

Smith's stretch hit - 5.4 (this doesn't include any potential offset)
Gray's hit - 1.3

1) Monroe's cap hold - 10.2
2) Singler's cap hold - 2.07
3) Jennings - 8.3
4) Meeks - 6.3
5) DJ - 3
6) KCP - 2.89
7) Drummond - 3.27
8) Dinwiddie - .8
9) Martin (Player option) - 1.27
10) Min cap hold - .8
11) Rough estimate on our draft pick - 2.5

That puts our very rough estimate of cap room right about $18 mil with a $66 mil projected cap.

For some reason, I was thinking Monroe's cap hold would be higher...

Would LeBron be a MAX target of ours this offseason?

Jennings / DJ / Dinwiddie
KCP / Meeks
LeBron
Monroe
Drummond

Regarding Martin's player option - couldn't he decline it to give us the cap space and then we could re-sign him once we're capped out as hes on a league minimum contract anyways? Since teams can go over the cap to sign players to vet minimum deals to fill out their roster.

It wouldn't really change much, we'd still have a minimum salary cap hold to fill out the roster.

Sooner or later, he will decide to go to a team with legit C's already there....

First, he hates Detroit. Second, Monroe would have to leave for a stretch PF. If that happens, we'll be the best team in the East.
