Lebron , kevin durant, leonard, george, butlers, parsons.

The sf's that can get theirs. i really haven't seen any defensive stats on singler since our streak, do we even know if he's a above average defensive SF? Eye ball test would say no, SVG seems to think yes. Anyone have a clue!?

Team defense gets it done, not individual defenders so much

Monroe is untouchable. Jennings isnt but I would like to keep him. The Lakers have nothing to offer aside from Randle who they arent moving anyways.

why is monroe untouchable!?

Facts:

he's going to want the max
he's not worth the max
we aren't giving him 5 years
he doesn't compliment Dre who is our franchise player
if we can get anything of value at this point, it would be well worth it depending on return

He very well may be worth the max if he's our starting center playing next to a PF that compliments him on both ends. A younger version of Bosh would be ideal, not necessarily a 25ppg guy but Bosh's skillset. This would of course mean trading Drummond though, either to get said player or to fill the SF spot and hope to get that player through free agency or the draft.

you obviously didn't see the lack of defensive effort he displayed tonight, everything was easy at the rim. He's not worth the max to this team,.

He's worth the max even alongside Drummond IMO. And, I think he's actually better defending at the PF spot than at C. At C he would be our last line of defense and he's not capable of covering for other guys mistakes. Monroe has been very good defensively of late. His defense on Anthony last night was solid and he was able to score on him to. I was very impressed with him last night in the first quarter defensively, he denied Anthony Davis good post position repeatedly- and was covering a lot of ground defensively. We need to retain DrumRoe and just look for a SF. We cannot depend on Drummond to play C well every night, losing Monroe would be a huge set back.

1.) Monroe was absolutely lost on defense tonight. There were numerous time he let evans and gordon blow right by him to the rim, his rotations were slow.

2.) He hasn't proven to be consistent as of yet defensively and offensively he's at least developing.

3.) he can't play PF ie spread the floor. He's most effective in the low post. I wouldn't be opposed to giving both Moose and Dre the max, only if the plan is to play 4 and 1 with them sharing minutes. There is very little offensive spacing with DrumRoe.

4.) i think SVG is having dre come off the bench next game, its time for moose to earn that max contract.

amen, even Monroe skeptics will have trouble arguing this.

Monroe & Drummond together is absolutely vital to this teams success moving forward.

Monroe and Drummond i don't think play a ton together when you look at our minutes. our offense is best when we go 4-1. The fact that we have 2 legit centers is one of the reasons we are so successful. Are we willing to pay the max for that???? not if moose can't be defensively consistent.

Lakers have nothing to offer.

Return to Detroit Pistons
