Not a pretty last period, but a win is a win. Glad we got it in the end.

Nice win and big time game from Monroe! This is the type of games I'm expecting to see from him if he's looking for a huge contract. He should be averaging at least 21pts and 13rebs against trash teams.

Wilson Chandler had a decent game tonight, I'm still hoping to see him in a Piston uniform before the deadline.

Why?

Because he's an upgrade over Singler, C-Butt( 8-) ), and Martin. You can also play Wilson at the 4 if we want to go small.

It'll be a nice pickup for the Pistons.

There are lots of players who are upgrades over most of the Pistons players. Should the team pursue them?

Well who knew it was that easy? Just go get players who are all better at every position than the players you've got. Championship!

Perhaps that's because you lack depth perception. The "upgrade" the Pistons would get for replacing Singler with Chandler wouldn't be worth the cost it would take to get Chandler. Not to mention that it's not that much of an upgrade in the first place. Put Chandler on this team and tell me that in order for him to put up the same numbers he gets now it won't cause a loss in anyone else's numbers, thus being no real gain.

Chew on that for while and get back to me about baiting.

Dominant performance by Greg- 21 points/21 boards/3 assists/2 steals/2 blocks! He needs to be playing 35-36 minutes a game every game and I'm thrilled that Monroe/Drummond got so much time together and I don't think it was a coincidence that our defense looked better.

When kyle isn't shooting fire, he really looks quite bad out there. Need to keep him to a 8th/9th man type of role on the team playing about 15 mins. Clear place we need to upgrade to make the next step.
Athough he would probably have to be included in any trade to give the value needed for an upgrade.
Tough spot to be in though because the draft has a few attractive SF prospects this year too.

Def not the Hawks, their lack of a superstar come playoff time will kill them.

GS maybe, but a lot would need to break their way in April/May. Still have to like the Spurs or Memphis, both play playoff bball.

I disagree about the Hawks, they have great balance and will be fine but clearly they are not the favorites in the east anyway. I agree with the rest, throw Dallas in there also.

They have great balance & are clearly an elite team but they are not the favorites in the East IMO.

In the west SA is still the favorites, Memphis a close 2nd. I also like Dallas & Portland as well because even though they are jump shooting teams they have the ability to get easy buckets & both teams can be very good on D when they want to.

I thought Jonas was playing well enough about a month ago. I'll go with SVG and agree that Tolliver is playing better but I don't think Jonas needs to be benched every game. The front office must have decided he's our trade chip at the deadline and idk...maybe he'll get us a second rounder.

Jonas just can't keep a job. It's tempting to lay the blame on someone/something else, but I'm guessing JJ himself has something to do with it.

That said, Tolliver has been a badass and deserves to play. Still can't believe we got him for Tony Mitchell -- I realize PDX was dumping salary, but that's still ridiculous.

You don't know the Cost of every player in the league and neither do I. But to make the blanket statement that we shouldn't be explored is way too much of an extreme.

No it's not. You can't upgrade every single position on your team without wrecking the salary cap and/or giving away all your draft picks. You can't get the better end of every single trade.
