Jennings is the better player and PG. Y'all making the same excuse for Jackson as we all did with stuckey.

FOH with the played out Billups allegory. Billups was lightning in a bottle unlikely to happen again anytime soon.

If you've seen any of my posts, i'm a huge fan of the post Josh Jennings but at their bests Jackson is the superior player.

Its irrelevant though, either can start & we have good PG depth in theory. Them both being terrible shooters is the issue at hand.

BJ does everything better as a PG than Reggie its really no argument here that makes him the better player.

again, neither can shoot & thats the real issue.

Opposing defenses respect BJ's jumper, and he's shooting 36% from 3 so its a bit disingenious to say that Jennings cant shoot

Even if we categorize him as a streaky shooter hes playing next to a 2 guard who is the definition of streaky shooter & 3's who are old veterans. Its something to consider with both PGs moving forward in this system.

If it wasnt even worth an argument SVG wouldnt be as vocally committed to Reggie as the future PG piece from here on out as he has been.

Jennings post-Smith was a better PG than Reggie will ever be, I'll take the chance on him getting back rather than Jackson getting there.

mattao313 and pistonsbball are 100% correct, Jennings stretch of basketball after Smith was waived was the best point guard play we have had on this roster since Chauncey was traded. Reggie has better physical tools and perhaps the potential to be better than Jennings, but the reality is that he has never had an extended stretch of games as successful as Jennings did in January. Yet.

All in all 25/7/7 today, pretty good. Just a shame that he started out with 21 on 7/12 in the first half and then went for 4 points on 2/9. Could've been a career game.

I dont understand why SVG would trade for a PG who can't shoot. Extending him this summer for big money could be a gigantic mistake if his shot doesn't improve. That said Reggie is not put in a situation to succeed here right now, Prince and Butler are terrible and useless, Meeks has been off all season and when KCP and Tolliver don't hit their 3s we have ZERO spacing after Augustin and Singler are gone.

It's probably early, but I always preferred Jennings to Jackson. I hope that we don't blow big money on this guy. We need guards who can shoot, and Jackson can't shoot at all.
