Hawks To Sign Austin Daye To Multi-Year Deal

The Atlanta Hawks plan on signing Austin Daye to a multi-year contract.

Daye's second 10-day contract expired on Friday.

“Austin has done really well and we feel good about having him with us,” Mike Budenholzer said following practice Friday afternoon. “We’ll have to make a decision. I would say he’s in a very good place.”

Daye is averaging 3.0 points and 1.4 rebounds in 6.6 minutes. He also appeared in 26 games with the Spurs earlier this season.

He's shooting a lot from three and hitting 36% of those and grabbing 8 boards per 36. Poor man's stretch four apparently.

I actually wouldn't have minded picking him up to play the three earlier in the yr. we all know he can stroke it from 3, sometimes catch fire
