2 stats jumped out at me and it shouldn't have been so surprising because we all know Moose isn't a thrilling defender or outside shooter but seeing it in black and white really put things in perspective.
"Modern-day bigs need to stretch defenses or rank as premier rim protectors.
Monroe—who allowed opponents to shoot 60.1 percent inside six feet of the hoop—is neither," wrote Bleacher Report's Dan Favale.
"He's just a 34.7 percent shooter outside of three feet for his career."Essentially on every non- dunk or lay up hes a sub 35% shooter

Very very telling stats, however lets keep in mind, since Dre's been here, he's been playing out of position. So those stats shouldn't suprise anyone. The ironic thing was that Moose's lack of performance was always blamed on Smith, but i think it was more Dre, Moose is a center.
Why we shouldn't sign moose"He's just a 34.7 percent shooter outside of three feet for his career."
its been 5 years, either he hasn't been working on it, or is just incapable. Either reason dictates he's not worth us spending a ton of money. I honestly believe that when SVG got here, and basically stated DRe's our future, he told moose the max we'd pay him, told him we aren't letting him go for free cuz the team needs him this season , and maybe SVG can figure out how to make it all work and Moose can prove to us he's worth more than our set price. As the season went on, nothing changed, we decided to part ways professionally . We'd love a S&T but we've made our stance. I truly wish i could sit down and the negotiation table just to hear whats going the f* on. haha
