that said, any player can look good when they are making their shots. you still want to see them do the intangible things besides that and hezonja showed little in this game. if we had a full video breakdown of his game i'd be willing to wager that he cost his team more points than he contributed. this video of him just reinforces what I knew of him. he's a good shooter, everyone knew that already. offensively besides shooting he shows little, and he also shows next to no awareness on either side of the ball, which he displayed in the video.

i'll guarantee (not that anything is on the line) that we won't draft him even if he's available. SVG/Bower are too smart for that.

From everything I've seen so far.....

Booker > Unsuper Mario

Plus we already had Luigi who won an MVP overseas and was awful here

I'd be happy if someone grabbed Mario before us which caused Winslow to drop in our lap. Not that I'm 100% sure that Winslow will be better, but because I think there is less chance for WInslow to be a bust.

I'll party hard if he'll be available at 8... SVG too.

Mario is more a Ginobili type of player than a Datome one.

I was making a Mario/Luigi joke but I disagree with your comparison. The only skill that Hezonja possesses that we know can translate is his shooting, Ginobili was known for everything but that really. Manu looks for contact while Mario avoids it because he can't handle it. Right now the closest comparisons for him in my opinion are JR Smith and Stauskus and I don't want either on my team.

He is too talented to fall to 8. Too much upside and a better wing prospect than Winslow/Johnson in my opinion, also a better fit for SVG system. Magic, Kings, Nuggets someone will grab him. I am just hoping Cauley-Stein wont drop so we have a decent shot at Winslow, no chance at Hezonja i am afraid.

I'm still a bigger fan of Winslow and johnson. he doesn't look bad, but I prefer those guys.

Winslow and Johnson already bring the defensive effort. Both can shoot. I'd also prefer either to Hezonja, as there is simply more known about them and they seem safer to me. I just can't completely discount MH as there's no doubt he possesses some exceptional talent.

Agreed, I simply feel that we as a forum have gotten just about all we can get out of debating the merits of various draft prospects. There's no real new ground to cover here. We're all really repeating ourselves at this point.

Time for it to just happen.

I'm in the same place. We've discussed all realistic, and some unrealistic, prospects to death. I've read some great opinion posts and statistical analysis, I've also read a lot of funny comments as well.

I'm ready to enjoy the draft and see our new Pistons additions.
