I guess it just depends on your definition of physical tools. Do you consider athleticism part of physical tools or just height/weight/length ect...? Because if we're talking just weight/length/height, Julius Randle is a 6'9 250lb truck that is very similar to LeBron in terms of height and weight as well.
The difference is that, like Stanley, LeBron compared to them is on another planet athletically. The whole basis of comparing someone to Lebron imo is his combination of size, strength and athleticism to go along with his ball handling and elite passing ability. And for that reason the comparison just doesn't work...Stanley's a solid athlete but not elite, and he's a good passer and ball handler for his position but he's not a 6'8 point forward that can literally play any position.
i don't know what the word i am looking for is, but to sum it up, @19 years old i don't in recent memory recall a player having this many tools. And SJ was a PG in HS and led his team to 4 straight championships. I think he can play point forward.
SJ's peak is not lebron, his peak is defined by "something we haven't seen before", which is similar to lebron. Artest is the next closest comparison , however Artest was never a PG. So its somewhere in the middle, which is "something we haven't seen before".............?
SJ was a C, PF, SG & PG in high school dude!
This is the NBA, not high school. The fact that he played all 5 positions is indicative of his versatility, not that he can play all 5 positions. There are plenty of NBA players that had the ability to play any position in high school...its high school. The size, strength, and skill level is MASSIVELY different than the NBA, but you already know that. Heck Austin Daye had a combination of size and handle that would've allowed him to play any position in high school.
Andre Miller played center in high school, are you going to tell me that he can play that in the NBA? No. You can't apply whatever positions someone played in high school to the NBA level, which I'm sure you already know. The size is just not representative of what they face in the NBA, nor is the skill level, or athleticism.
SJ is versatile, but he's not LeBron level versatile. He can play 2-3 against more or less any lineup and then he can play 4 as well unless he's facing guys like LMA, Davis, Pau, Blake...
