Jennings and Meeks for Joe Johnson
So we would be so much better and balanced if we had a starting SF that can be our 2nd playmaker. He is clutch and can knock down the 3. Veteran player/leader that we need. Tolliver gets bumped out of rotation. Morris becomes our backup PF. Stanley our backup SF. JJ can play minutes at SG too. Dinwiddie or Blake becomes our 10minute a game backup PG
Love Jennings but he's not even running yet. By the time he's back to full speed the year will be halfway over. And then he's gone for nothing at the end of the year. The way I see it is basically we're swapping Meeks for JJ

We have a starting SF (soon enough) that can be our 2nd playmaker... his name is STANIMAL.

I don't hate it and wouldn't complain to much if this happened, but not endorsing it.
All your reasons are sound in terms of immediate impact and perhaps helping us become a more legit playoff threat this season, but I'd rather we invested that time in our young guys instead. The long term benefits of on the court experience and chemistry building win out.
I like the idea of adding another veteran locker room presence; somebody with a winning pedigree... But more so in that end of the bench, player/coach/mentor type roll and I don't think that is JJ.

K. I've changed my mind hahaha. I'm hoping Jennings can come back and be our 6th man. Like you said Stanimal is the future and Morris can start for now and slide over to PF. KCP can slide over to SF too so Ya go pistons! Lol

i'd do it, our team is full of youth, and we are trading away peaces that quite frankly aren't really part of our future. JJ has a bad rep for whatever reason, but his scoring ability is elite, and he's a veteran. I'd maybe do this trade around the Dec 15, if playoffs are realistic. As oppose to know. Its not a move we NEED to make at this point

Joe Johnson is way past his prime and on the massive downslide. He is too old and too slow to help this team now. I would play KCP or Stanley over him. Thus, why have a high priced Backup?
