I listened to the whole thing and didn't think SVG "ducked" anything. I don't understand why you're hearing a lack of confidence. 80 million dollars for 5 years says that isn't right.

Parker is a guy who really understands PG play within an offensive scheme. His first priority is to move the ball and breakdown the defense. Scoring comes within the flow of the offense. He's the gold standard example of a PG who pretty much never "settles." I'm sure SVG would like RJ to understand the role as well as TP. Lowe's question seemed natural and innocent of any concealed agenda.

Yeah, basketball talk is tough to come by this time of year. I'm going through my late summer withdrawal. I check my newspaper sites but there's usually nothing new. It's pathetic...

your the only one stating that RJ was TP. I merely stated that TP is a good example of SVG's 2nd point in that he doesn't have to settle for that. And quite frankly that is a pretty amateur question by Lowe, if lowe watched any tape last year of RJ in detroit, he'd see that RJ was still getting to the rack with defenses giving him sagging.

Pretty sure Lowe watched more tape than you did last season bro.

Lowe is awesome! SVG is awesome! Interview was awesome!

Trying to make something out of nothing is pointless, even if it is the off-season
says the person butting into nothing. Rj had was effective when the defense sagged . If he'd watch film he'd see that. Your the one debating

Detroit vs Everybody

And you're the one that said if Lowe watched ANY tape of RJ with us last season...

Lowe ain't here to defend himself so I did it for him.

Lowe is an exceptional journalist and based on everything I've read watches hours upon hours of tape. To say otherwise is just wrong dude

Ducked might have been the wrong word, but he said RJ is improving as a shooter, and used the Tony Parker example without expressing that he thought RJ would be able to do that. He didn't say he expected RJ to improve enough in that situation as a shooter either. I wouldn't say it was the most confident response, but yea "ducked" may be a little much

Yet the film don't lie.

While i can appreciate a following of a writer, i really could give a sh* about a debate about one. I stand by my points

Its funny how some ppl look at that contract and think "he was forced to pay him". This perception that SVG was leveraged is absolutely wrong.

Yet one of those points was that if Lowe watched ANY tape of RJ with us...

1 - Lowe watches a ton of tape so you exaggerated for effect

2 - its quite possible Lowe asked the question about RJ because that's what a lot of fans outside of Detroit would ask!

His interview is for all NBA fans, not just Piston diehards.

But whatever man - its the off-season and you're producing content that got me to post! Bravo

Return to Detroit Pistons
