Honestly we already have too many numbers retired. Ben and Chauncey are the only ones who deserve it on those teams IMO.

I blame Dumars for the Rip situation too, for what its worth. I think Rip got bamboozled.
you obviously don't rememeber the contract he signed
That was actually what I was referring to. There was talk at the time that he only signed that extension under the assumption he would be staying to play with Chauncey, and that Dumars double crossed him when he then traded Chauncey a few days later."If Rip would have knew that this deal was going on, I just don’t know that he would have signed that extension," Billups said. "It was kind of funny to me that they announced this trade the same day that he signed. I really don’t know. … It just seemed weird to me. He signed that extension three days before the trade. … I think it might have been a little different if all this was exposed early." http://www.detroitbadboys.com/2008/11/14/1216390/chauncey-billups-opens-up
Then they signed a new starting SG the following summer to take his position, supposedly promising him he would be traded for Boozer but was later nixed by ownership, leaving him double crossed again.
So I can fully understand why he eventually went nuts on the team. I doubt he would have signed up for a rebuild project had he been told before signing. I always blamed that whole mess on management/ownership not him.
wow, i truly never heard that part.Nice find
