we are below avarage in perimeter defense too, so maybe kcp should not be a sacred cow? Hollis thompson is 39.5% career 3-point shooter and ESPN scout report says "Thompson is probably Philadelphia's best individual wing defender. A lanky 6-foot-8, Thompson has good size for a shooting guard, though he's a bit on the slight side to defend bigger small forwards. He accepts the challenge defensively and can be pesky, blocking the occasional shot. However, Thompson is a poor defensive rebounder"
I can't agree with you on our team defense as we rank 9th in defensive efficiency and 9th in points allowed. So I'm not sure what stats you are using that make you think otherwise. If being top 10 in drtg and points allowed doesn't equal good defense then what does?
However, I'm all aboard the Hollis bandwagon with you. He is exactly who we should be pursuing. With Colangelo there now though it won't be so easy to pilfer them.
